The Burnt Tapes

SYS Exclusive Stream: The Burnt Tapes – “South to Motherboy”

London based punk-rockers The Burnt Tapes are exclusively sharing their new track “South to Motherboy” (catch the Arrested Development reference) for Seeing Your Scene readers.

Recorded by Mark Bell, the band put together the track for the US charity compilation Hope: a compilation for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, also featuring performers such as Off With Their Heads and Jeff Rosenstock. The band had this to say on the track:

The song itself is about being able to admit your mistakes, and putting your ego aside to be there for those closest to you when they need you the most.

Catch the band on tour at the end of this month:

29/10 – Maguire’s Pizza Bar, Liverpool
30/10 – The Black Heart, London
31/10 – The Quadrant, Brighton
1/11 – TBC
You can hear more from the band on their bandcamp and keep up to date with them via facebook
