News: Doing Life Records launched, stream Ed Poole / Seven Years Behind split

A brand new Liverpool-based DIY record label, Doing Life Records, has been launched by Simon Christopher. Aiming to support artists from Liverpool, their first release is a split EP by Ed Poole and Seven Years Behind.

Both artists cite Into It. Over It. as influences, amongst others, and the emo-twinged acoustic vibes are clear throughout the six tracks. Both artists have two new tracks on there, and a cover each, with Ed taking Dowsing and SYB taking Pedro the Lion.

Doing Life Records is a community based, not-for-profit label, and aims to grow outside of just releasing records, with podcasts and community projects on the books. They have the following mantra:

Plant trees, be a hippie, or don’t.
Write music, make pictures, make hope, or don’t.
Just do something because no-one will do it for you.
Riff hard and be rad.
