Looking back at 2015 with… LineOut

Seeing Your Scene chats to melodic skatepunkers LineOut from Italy about 2015. We’re putting them on in April at JT Soar – more details here.

How was 2015?

2015 has literally been a perfect year for us. We played more than 40 shows, had the chance to support great bands as Ignite, Lagwagon, Strung Out and for the first time we toured Canada playing Pouzza Fest V. Moreover we had the chance to visit Greece, Slovenia, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Spain and at the end of the year we signed with Japanese Milestone Sounds who released our album in Asia. So we can’t complain about 2015 and of course we hope 2016 will be better.

What was your favourite moment of the year?

At the beginning of 2015 we played a short Greek tour, four shows from north to south with the local legends in King Medicine and it was the best tour of the year in my opinion. The atmosphere was magic, people always kind with us and every gig ended well crowded. Greece is really a beautiful land, not so many bands tour there and honestly I don’t know why, it’s probably just the idea that people are not interested in punk rock music, but it’s totally wrong. People just wanna have fun and they are waiting for bands to tour their country.

What was the best show you played?

The show with Lagwagon has been so far the best show of our career; the biggest stage we ever played in front of 2,000 people having fun in summer fest in Italy. We were the only opening band and the promoters treated us in the best way ever.

What was your favourite release?

2015 for me has been the year of the new Strung Out album, insane

What are you excited for next year?

We’ve a lot of things running out for 2016, we’re keeping our fingers crossed. Our original drummer, Simo, is leaving the band and we’re now practicing with a new one. We’re writing new songs and we’ll release a new EP next spring or a full length next fall. We have the UK already scheduled for April, including Manchester Punk Fest, we’re looking at a whole Euro tour and we hope to do Australia or United States.
