One of our favourite new bands this year is certainly Bristol’s Viva Zapata! Since playing their first show at the start of this year the band have become highly productive and have wasted no time putting together their first EP recorded from their home in true DIY fashion.
The band have already fused their own unique sound they have coined “Blues Swing Punk'”, referring to the incredible blues vocals of lead vocalist Zoe Beecham, the tastes of swing and the raucous punk rock sound underneath it all with their main influences lying in the 90’s riot grrrl movement. The band also features Joe from Will Tun and the Wasters as well as feminist punk poet Jenn Hart.
