Looking back at 2015 with… Mallcops

Seeing Your Scene chats to one of the best new bands of 2015, Mallcops!

How was 2015?

2015 was incredible. We started this band, released an EP, went on tour and made really, really awesome friends.

What was your favourite moment of the year?

On tour we ate pizza in a parking lot with our friends in Caskets Filled With Flowers and Jamboree. That was dope because the pizza was awesome and we love our friends.

What was the best show you played?

They’re all awesome in different ways but the best was probably the homecoming show from tour. It was in our friend’s super awesome garage venue in Clinton, MA called the Lion’s Den and everyone was super happy to celebrate that all the bands were back home. It was fun

What was your favourite release?

Collectively, our favorite release of 2015 was Peripheral Vision by Turnover. It was what we all jammed the most and it had a pretty big impact on our style. We also really liked No Closer to Heaven by The Wonder Years, Justin Bieber’s new album and Drake’s entire discography.

What are you excited for next year?

We’re recording! We’re excited for people to hear our new stuff. Also we’re hoping we can get a new vehicle so we can tour more!!
